Who is CertsOnline

CertsOnline is a New Zealand owned & based company formed in 2013 for the sole purpose of providing a solution for the self certifying industry of New Zealand. Currently, providing services to the Gas-Fitting & Electrical Trades and meeting the specifications for certificates of compliance as laid out in The Gas (Safety and Measurement) Amendment Regulations 2012 and the Electricity (Safety) Amendment Regulations 2012.

What Is CertsOnline

CertsOnline has been created to provide a service to Self Certifying professional's that operate their professions in New Zealand and are required by law to provide documentation stating that the tasks he or she has completed in their chosen profession are safe for use , meet current legislation and accountable to a licensed practitioners . The site provides the tools to create certifying documents that meet the required current regulations and then converts them to a PDF file format.

How Does CertsOnline Work

The Team at CertsOnline have made the process of creating and storing your Gas Safety Certificate's (GSC) and Electrical Code of Compliance (COC) as simple as possible.
After the registration process is complete, you are able to create your user profile, upload company information, you will then be required to credit your account and then you can start creating your customised GSC's or COC's.

To enter any information on the High Risk databse you first need to obtain a Real Me login.This will allow you to enter the site and many more Goverment sites. How do Download & Email My Filed Certificates

Here at Certonline we have tried to make the process as simple as possible.

-To download your filed certificate, simply click the CERTIFICATE heading in your dashboard and select the DOWNLOAD arrow as per the picture below.

-To email your filed certificate, simply click the CERTIFICATE heading in your dashboard and select the EMAIL symbol as per the picture below.

A screen will pop up with all the information you have entered into the original Certificate awaiting for you to action the send button, your filed PDF certificate has been attached.

Please note if you enter the clients email address into the certificate ( CREATING CERTIFICATE PAGE) it will speed this process up.

Certonline Payment Structure

Certonline's payment method is a pre-paid system utilising a secured DPS Payment Gateway to credit your account with the 3 options available by use of Credit Card only (Visa & MasterCard). The pre paid credits are then stored within your dashboard under SUBSCRIPTION and do not expire. 

Using Your Credits

After crediting your account you are then able to create and file your GSC'S & COC'S. After the document is completed in the drop down component of the form within your dashboard , you then have the option to save and return at a later time to edit , or file the GSC'S & COC'S and only then will it become a PDF for use and there is no way to edit the entered data. At the point of filing your completed GSC & COC , your credits will be reduced by one. ( 1 cert = 1 credit)

Electronic Signature Service & Touch Screen Signature Function for Smartphone & Tablet

CertOnline is providing this option to help with the paper issues and real-time creation we all will have to deal with when creating our Certificates from July 1st 2013.

At present the certificates that have been available to us all, have required a Certificate Owners signature to produce a legally binding document for our client. These documents are then filed for many purposes, including the legal responsibility for the Certificate Producer to keep a record.

With the new legislation upon us we have a couple options that were not available to us before;

• The storage of certificate data in an electronic form, no need for paper trail.
• The transfer of certificates to clients by way of email

With the electronic signature option applied, you are then able to complete the GSC/COC within your secure dashboard with your electronic signature displayed and download it to your email application and then forward to your client. Not at any stage is this Certificate needed to be printed. CertOnline provides 2 options for the signature capture function. For users who use touch screen devices, you can now sign the document in realtime. Simply choose the "USE MY TOUCHSCREEN PDF SIGNATURE". A small screen will pop up, you can enter your signature, change it  and submit it.

With our unique and one of a kind Touch Screen Signature capturing function you can authorise a document on the GO and also accept another party to Certify your GSC component, such as another Gas Fitter that has been party to the Installation or Certification.

This function is available to use on all accounts and for Main Account Holder this can be found under your EDIT page at the bottom of the form.

 With the electronic signature option applied, you are then able to complete the COC/ESC in your secured dashboard with your electronic signature displayed and download it to your email application and then forward to your client. Not at any stage is this Certificate needed to be printed. 

If you dont have touch screen device to upload this then you have 2 options;

• Use a family or fiends device to upload the Signature once you have logged into your CertsOnline account and sourced the Signture Upload Function in your EDIT profile
• Use the form below to email CertsOnline your authorisation to do this on your behalf

The signature will be implanted on the final PDF certificate. If you are not using a touchscreen device, then please use the download form to email CertOnline your signature & we will implant this for you for future use.  Download The Form Now

Using The Voucher Codes

CertOnline Directory Service

Certonline has created this funtion to help our users reach the market that is searching for a Certified person to solve their problems at a touch of a button. This service has an annual fee, which can be sourced in a Special Subscription in the SUBSCRIPITON menu. The service is aligned with the financial year: 1st April - 31st March. The subscription will include a nominated amount of free certificates. 

In your quick links menu you will find an EDIT menu. Click this menu and enter your service area & a short description of the services you provide. In this same EDIT page check that your details are correct and it pays to upload a logo to help give your business a face.

Creating Certificate Problems?

Certonline operates at its best using the Google Chrome Internet Browser. If you come across a few of these problems when using our system check which internet browser you are using.

1- not being able to choose a 2nd, 3rd.........appliance.

2- your stored certificates are no longer present under CERTIFICATES.
